Description

Carbon X is a two-component cleaning system designed to remove heavy carbon deposits from the combustion chamber and engine components.

Component K1 (Cleaning Foam) is a high-performance formula that dissolves and removes carbon deposits formed during engine operation. It effectively cleans the cylinder head area, including valves, piston crowns, piston ring grooves, and the area around the first piston ring. The foam expands inside the combustion chamber and also cleans intake and exhaust valve seats when open. In addition, deposits in the EGR valve, turbocharger, and air intake system are removed. The formula is safe for seals and compatible with all engine components.

Component K2 (Neutralizer) reacts chemically with the cleaning foam, turning it into a liquid emulsion that binds the dissolved contaminants. The mixture can then be safely extracted from the combustion chamber using a suitable extraction tool. K2 also contains high-performance lubrication additives that protect engine components from friction and wear during the start-up process and help protect seals.

Application Method

Combustion Chamber Cleaning

Remove the spark plug or injector and insert the application probe into the combustion chamber. Spray Component K1 into the chamber. The foam expands and spreads into the intake and exhaust channels if they are open. Stop spraying when foam appears at the access opening. Allow the cleaner to react for approximately 15–20 minutes. To avoid overdosing, spray for a maximum of 5 seconds per combustion chamber.

After the reaction time, insert the probe again and apply Component K2 through the same opening. Allow about 4–5 minutes for the chemical reaction until the foam is dissolved. Extract the resulting emulsion and deposits using a suitable extraction device. For heavy contamination, repeat the process if necessary.

Before reinstalling the spark plugs or injectors, crank the engine briefly using the starter motor (without starting) two to three times for about 10 seconds to remove any remaining residue.

EGR Valve, Turbocharger and Intake System

The cleaning process can be performed with the components installed or removed depending on accessibility. Spray Component K1 into the affected areas until foam appears at the openings and allow it to react for 15–20 minutes. Afterwards, dissolve the foam by rinsing with Component K2. After reassembly, run the engine for at least 20 minutes.

Note

This is a professional workshop application that requires technical knowledge. The intake system should be checked for residues after cleaning and cleaned if necessary.

Consumption

500 ml is sufficient for 4–8 cylinders (depending on engine size) or for cleaning approximately 2–4 EGR valves, turbochargers, or intake systems.

Treatment Time

Approximately 15–20 minutes.
